NDA Exam Preparation: Study General Knowledge Thoroughly
The National Defence Academy (NDA) exam is highly popular among youth who aspire to join the Indian Defense Forces. This serves as an excellent gateway for young individuals to become part of the Indian Army. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts this exam twice a year. To become an officer in the army, candidates must clear various recruitment rounds. After succeeding in the exam, candidates are sent to the National Defence Academy for three years of training where they receive training for all three defense services. After the course, cadets receive their commission during the Passing Out Parade, taking the oath to defend the nation. This year, the exam is proposed for September 14, 2025. Prepare According to the Syllabus

This 300-mark paper contains 120 questions covering Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of Two and Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus & Differential Equations, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability. Selection Process
- Candidates are selected based on written exam and SSB (Service Selection Board) Intelligence & Personality Test
- Only written exam qualifiers appear for SSB tests
NDA Academic Program
NDA offers full-time residential graduate programs. Cadets earn BA or BSc degrees after three years of study. Two academic streams are available:
- Science Stream: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science
- Humanities Stream: History, Economics, Political Science, Geography etc.
Courses are Divided into Three Categories
Compulsory Courses
Cadets study English, Foreign Language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, History, Political Science, Economics and Geography. All cadets take basic classes in these subjects (except foreign language) before advanced classes based on their choices.
Foundation Course
This mandatory course includes Military Studies and General Studies. Military Studies covers military history, geography, weapon systems and war material. General Studies includes geopolitics, human rights and environmental science.
