SBI PO Recruitment 2025

State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for recruitment to 600 posts of Probationary Officer (PO). In this, 586 posts are regular and 14 posts are backlog. The probation period of the selected candidates will be two years. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online. The last date to apply is 16 January 2025. Qualification

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any subject from a recognized university/institute.

  • Candidates must submit proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 30 April 2025.
  • Candidates with qualifications like Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible.

Pay Scale

Rs. 48,480 to Rs. 85,920

Age Limit

  • Minimum 21 and maximum 30 years as of 01 April 2024.
  • The candidate should not be born before 02 April 1994 and after 01 April 2003 (both dates included).
  • Age relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, Divyangs: 10 years.

Selection Process

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

The final merit list will be based on marks obtained in the main examination and interview. Preliminary examination marks will not be added to the merit list.

Exam Format

Preliminary Exam:

  • 100 marks with 100 multiple-choice questions.
  • English Language: 40 questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 30 questions
  • Reasoning Ability: 30 questions
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • One-fourth mark deducted for each wrong answer.

Main Exam:

  • Two papers: Multiple-choice (200 marks) and Descriptive (50 marks).
  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: 40 questions
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: 30 questions
  • General/Economy/Banking Awareness: 60 questions
  • English Language: 40 questions
  • Descriptive Paper: Communication skills (50 marks)

  • Application Fee: Rs. 750 for Unreserved/OBC. No fee for SC/ST/Divyangs.

Exam Centers

The exam will be conducted in various cities across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Jharkhand, including Agra, Lucknow, Dehradun, Patna, Ranchi, etc.

Additional Information

  • General and EWS category: 4 attempts
  • OBC and PWD category: 7 attempts
  • No limit for SC/ST category.
  • Selected candidates must complete a basic banking knowledge course before joining.
  • Candidates must sign a Rs. 2,00,000 bond to serve for a minimum of 3 years.

Application Process

  1. First of all, go to the official website of SBI: Click Here. On the homepage, many options will be visible on the dark blue bar. Click on the option of 'Career' given at number one from the right.
  2. Scroll down to the new page and come to the bottom. Here on the left side, the option of 'Join SBI' will be visible. Below this, click on 'Current Openings'.
  3. Scroll down on the new page that opens. Here, many notifications related to recruitment will be visible. Look for the recruitment advertisement named 'RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS' and click on it.
  4. Below the advertisement, the option 'Download Advertisement (English)' will be visible. Click on it.
  5. The advertisement will open on a new page. Candidates should download the PDF of the notification, read it thoroughly, and check their eligibility.
  6. Go back to the previous page. Below the advertisement, the option APPLY ONLINE (27.12.2024 to 16.01.2025) will be visible. Click on it.
  7. On the new page, the option for New Registration will be visible on the yellow bar on the right side. Click on it to register.
  8. On the new page, enter the required registration details such as name, mother's name, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc. Fill the captcha and click on the 'Register' button in the blue box below. Your registration process will be completed, and you will receive the registration number and password on your registered mobile number and e-mail ID.
  9. Return to the previous page. To login, click on the option 'Login if already registered' given in the blue box on the left side.
  10. The login screen will appear. Enter the registration number and password received during registration, fill the captcha, and click on 'Login'.
  11. The application form will open on a new page. Read the form carefully and enter all the personal and educational details requested, one by one.
  12. Upload the required documents in PDF format, such as:
    • Resume
    • Identity Card
    • Date of Birth Certificate
    • Educational Qualification Certificate
    • Experience Certificate
    • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  13. Upload a scanned copy of your passport-size color photograph and signature. The size of the photo should be between 20 to 50 KB, and the signature file size should be between 10 to 20 KB.
  14. Upload other required PDFs such as mark sheets, certificates related to educational qualifications, ID proof, resume, and date of birth certificate. Each file size should not exceed 500 KB.
  15. Pay the application fee as per instructions. The payment must be made online.
  16. Finally, submit the application form after filling in the captcha. Your application process will now be completed.
  17. Take a printout of the submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.
